Make a big batch, freeze it, and enjoy these delicious smoothies another day
ingredients
1 ¼ cup frozen blueberries
1 medium ripe banana or use 1 cup frozen banana slices
Half of a medium orange, peeled and quartered
3/4 cup to 1 cup milk, dairy or non-dairy
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
instructions
Add the blueberries, banana, orange and 3/4 cup of the milk to a blender. If you plan to add any, add optional ingredients to the blender.
Turn the blender on and blend until creamy and smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more milk.
Add a few ice cubes and blend until smooth for an icy cold smoothie.
You can keep this smoothie in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours (I use a mason jar with its lid). The ingredients may separate over time, but you can shake the jar before serving.
